Churches Unite We are pleased to announce that The Independent Catholic Church of Australia, including their churches in Kenya and Pakistan, have been incardinated into the United Ecumenical Catholic Church with effect from Novelber 20, the Feast of Christ The King. We welcome Archishop Anthony Stanfield, who will be Diocesan Bishop of Yellamuni (Queensland and the Northern Territory) and Metropolitan Archbishop for Africa and Pakistan, along with his clergy in Queensland, Pakistan and Kenya. New Mission in India We are pleased to announcer the incardination of Rev. Napolean Joseph ofr Kerala, India. Fr. Joseph is a former Roman Catholic priest and will be establishing a mission in his area. Watch this space for mopre details. Welcome Fr. Joseph! Visit to Brisbane Archbishop Ron was blessed to visit with Archbishop Anthony Stanfield and his lovely wife Philomena on the weekend of November 5th and 6th. A fruitful time was had by all and Archbisop Ron and Archbishop Anthony look forward to travelling tohether to Kenya in April 2012. Ordination Our heartfelt congratulations are extended to Br. Simeon (Rob) Suttie who was ordained to the Holy priesthood on August 20th 2011. We we blessed with the attendance of Bishop Don Fraser from Aotearoa/New Zealand, and Pastor's Robert Clark and Gavin Ward of the Metroplitan Community Church - Good Shepherd. Archdeacon appointed At our recent clericus Archbishop Ronald announced the appointment of Br. Luke Koller EFO as Archdeacon of the Australian church. Br. Luke will act as the administrator of the diocese in the absence of the bishop for any reason. Congratulations to Br. Luke. Leadership Team to graduate After lenghty and often laborious study, the Diocesan leadership team of Archbishop Ronald Langham and Brother Luke Koller will graduate with their post-graduate degrees this summer. Archbishop Ron will graduate with a Master of Ministry from Charles Sturt University and Brother Luke will graduate with a Master of Arts (Theology) from the Australian Catholic University. The study undertaken by both demonstrates the commitment the Ecumenical Catholic Church of Australia has in ensuring that our clergy are well formed and well informed. Both are currently considering their doctoral options. New Liturgy We are pleased to announce that the New Jerusalem Liturgy has now been published and is in full use within the Australian Church. The Liturgy has been registred with the National Libray of Australia and has been issued with the appropriate ISBN's. Our deepest gratitude is extended to Father Stephen and Brother Luke for their hard work.
